The Evolution of a Mural!

Nov 13, 2017

Hi Friends! I hope that you are having a wonderful week!  I have had so much fun seeing this mural evolve daily I thought you might enjoy as well!!

The art of the mural is still going strong in today’s interiors!!  Something incredible about murals is that unlike a canvas painting which may take months to complete, these art pieces many times have to be mastered in a week!

Day 1: This mural is in  a wine room for a project we are working on with Designer Trisha McGaw and Allan Edwards Builders. I thought it would be interesting to show the day by day progression!

It’s a fun one because this the second time we have done work for these sweet homeowners.  Above is the mural we did in their previous home’s wine room!

Day 2: Their new home is filled with blues and grays so we wanted to give them something new and different to fit its cooler colorations!! Here is Segreto artist Jerrold hard at work.

Day 3: Jerrold different, from our other muralist, composes his piece in Photoshop first.  With me not being technical, it amazes me to see him change the horizon and add trees etc right on the screen!!

Day 4: See if you can see what is new?

Day 5: Almost there I really love the addition of the villa on the hilltop!!

Day 6:  It’s finished and ready to unveil to the clients!  Jerrold did a great job!

I hope you enjoyed the post today!  I feel like I am looking at those flip card picture books when we are painting murals and look so forward to seeing the changes made each day! I hope you got a little glimpse into my job site visits!!  Have a wonderful week!  Till next time,
