What’s Cook’n at Segreto!

Hi all my blog friends! I hope you have had a great week. This week we have been busy at Segreto and I wanted to show you a project we just completed and a healthy eating recipe to die for!!!

These pictures are just from my iPhone, but I just couldn’t wait to share!!! Designed by Julie Dodson, this house is a beautifully modern twist to a French! These built-ins flanking the fireplace are constructed like large-scale armoires, demanding a finish which gave them importance. Glazed in a two-toned fashion, the design was enhanced; creating a statement without overpowering the space.

As you can see, the living space is open to the kitchen. I love Julie’s use of the white slipcovers with an infusion of lavenders and grays!!! The result is interesting and soothing while maintaining a fresh, current aesthetic.

The kitchen, light and bright, houses glazed white perimeter cabinetry and a gray island. Look at that three inch mitered Calcutta top — LOVE!!!! The vent hood, softened by metallic, maintains a metal appearance and is a wonderful compliment to the coloration in the marble mosaic back splash!! The twin chandeliers give that Parisian flair to this totally modern kitchen.

Such a great feature! Built into the kitchen island, a pull out cabinet functions as concealed paper towel and cleaning supply storage for quick, easy access!

The powder, narrow and tall in scale, is coated in a lovely blue-gray plaster. In order to give the appearance of lower ceilings, a large scale stencil border was applied. Creating a jewel box effect, this lovely little bath is finished off with a French mirror, chandelier, sconces and a skirted sink basin.

Boy this dining room, is beautiful! How graceful the chair’s shape is!

These newly built wine room doors were finished to appear old and include a wire mesh insert on top to give a peek into the beautiful room beyond!

In the mud room, a skirted table perfectly softens the space as well as hides away all sorts of things underneath!

Too cute to leave out, this adorable kids room features a planked wood wall and super fun bedding!!! There is so much more to this house! It will be featured in Segreto Vignettes due to be released this fall!!

Healthy Recipes!!!

For the Super Bowl we fell in love with my friend Karen’s version of the classic Mexican 7 layer dip. Giving it a Mediterranean twist, she made a healthy appetizer which we all loved more than the original.
