Since I heard the news, I have seriously been trying to figure out how to get to McKinney, Texas outside of Dallas. Aidan Gray is having a warehouse sale!!!!!! A huge one!!!!!!
Items will be marked 50% to 70% off!!! I know I use too many exclamation points, but I feel their prices are already reasonable. So, this sale is going to be great.
How do I know how wonderful the finds are? Well, when I did my book signing at Gray Living in McKinney, Texas sweet Derrick, who is one of the company’s hire ups, took me on a personal tour of the warehouse! I was in love with so much there, got to see their design process, and… what’s coming up new in their line! I seriously was in heaven!
Not only did I see their European-inspired furnishings, but also original antiques and architectural finds that they use for their inspirations! This lovely settee retails for $6975. and will be at the sale for $2250. But wait……. Derrick told me that the antiques and finds will also be in the sale — for the first time ever!!!!
I saw them set up vignettes for photo-shoots of their products and furnishings! They were truly masters of making a little warehouse cubby look like a room you wanted to move in to immediately! This beauty was featured in one of the photo shoots. It retails for $5625. and it will be $2250. at the warehouse sale!!! What a beautiful statement in a breakfast nook or dining space. With chicken wire and fabric insets, I think it would make a lovely linen cabinet for a master bedroom or hallway!
See what I mean about how they display so beautifully at their store, Gray Living, in McKinney? I wonder if any of these items will make their way to the warehouse sale?!
I adore these! These wire baskets will be in the sale! My mind is racing with ideas: storing towels by the pool, magazines in the den, and tennis shoes by the mudroom door! Retailing for $263., they will be priced at $105. at the sale!
Love this for an outdoor patio or front porch! Retailing for $1733., you can take this iron piece home for $693.!
How did I find out about the sale? Derrick called me to talk about doing a book signing at their showroom at the Dallas Market — and he just mentioned the sale in passing!!! Two exciting things in one conversation, but with my passion for bargain hunting, I had a difficult time focusing on the Dallas Market event. The book signing, however, will be a wonderful opportunity for stores from all over the country to see the Segreto Book Series — on Friday, June 26th, from 12-2 !!!!
Remember when we painted the floors at Aidan Gray’s Dallas Market Showroom? The result is a worn Moroccan-tile look that will be featured in the stencil section of my third book Segreto Vignettes (available in 2016). Read about how we did the floors here .
Market in general is exciting! Recently, with too much on my plate, I have not merchandised our Segreto Boutique as I would like. So, I hired Cynthia in my office to revitalize Segreto’s Boutique & Gallery and carry them forward!!! Yaay, Cynthia! She and I will be shopping for our store after the book signing event. This year I wont have my daughter Kirby (above) along to model since she has a real job!!! See our past excursions to the market here and here!!
Let me get back on track; warehouse sale customers can choose from lighting, furniture, garden and home décor accessories. Make a day of it in charming McKinney and be sure to eat at Patina Green Home & Market! Earlier this year I blogged about things to do in McKinney. Its a great town!
Thanks Randal (above) and Derrick for telling me about your amazing sale and inviting me to be at Dallas Market with you! Randal Weeks founded Aidan Gray in 2003 while working on his MBA. Among the things I love about him is that he chose to pursue his own dream after 15 years working for large corporations. (We followed sort of similar paths!) He set out to design “one of a kind” looking, high quality products that are more attainable than 17th and 18th century antiques. The goal was to bring sophisticated and understated elegance to the average homeowner. Well, he did that and more — and now he brings us this 3rd Annual Warehouse Sale!
Happy shopping!!! When you get there, tell me what you discover!
