It’s Round Top Time Again!!!

Good Morning Friends!!  It’s time to put our boots(or comfy sneakers) on and head to Round Top, Texas for my favorite antique show! Can’t wait to hit the fields and search for new treasures! Source Each year the Antique Show gets bigger and bigger and with so many vendors it’s nearly impossible to hit them all!  With more than 60 venues to visit, and over 2000 dealers, this show has certainly put the small Texas town of Round Top on the map!!! The Round Top - Warrenton area shows take ...

Who Wouldn’t Want To Live Here?

It is so fun to see homes for sale which we have worked in! Love seeing both how they look years later and also any changes in furnishings that have been made.  This one, interiors by Munger Interiors, was featured in my second book Segreto Style and several blogs I had written because I love the before and afters. It remains as beautiful today as when we left the home!!! I found these pictures on Har.com. The home is listed by Kelley Austin with Martha Turner Sothebys International Realty. ...

Hi Friends!  We have been inspired by the break and have been working on some new projects at Segreto!!! Segreto is off to Fredericksburg!

We recently all packed up to work on a beautiful home in Fredericksburg Texas.  The last time I had been there was 25 years ago, when hubby and I stayed at a bed and breakfast-something they are known for!  I was excited to revisit this quaint Texas town! Source I found this historical home for sale which is a great example of all the beautiful stone work on all of the older homes, both the inside and out! Can't you just imagine a whole village with structures like this back in 1846 ...

Colorado Update Part 3-Bedrooms and Baths!

Well here is the last in the series!  Thank you for all your wonderful comments!! The house isn't completely done yet but close! I really wanted to plaster the house but due to my crews heavy schedules and the contractor's timeline it just didn't work out!   This was my inspiration board for the bedrooms!  What did I use? I loved the fabric behind the bed designed by Susan Blankenship(house is in Segreto Vignettes!) but with my lower ceilings and small room, I decided it wouldn't ...

A Colorado Update Part 2!

After months of construction, (see last week's post) we were on our way to install the furnishings. Hubby John, daughter Kirby, and I went up there for a whirlwind 3 days to install all the furnishings and to see the unit in person for the first time. It was especially nerve-racking for me as I was unable to visit the job site during the entire renovation process. All details were relayed by texts and emails. Well hang on, it's quite a change! Here is the entrance before. Welcome ...

Colorado Update!

Hi Friends! I am sorry it has taken so long to update you on the Colorado home!  I really wanted to finish and show you the progression all at one time.  so we have a three week series from start to finish. It definitely is a big change and a totally different look. Remember these pictures of the original townhome we purchased, furniture and all? Although hubby John was thrilled with all the furnishings in the unit, I though it felt dark and a bit claustrophobic. He even loved the torn ...

Happy New Year Friends!! I really can't believe that it is 2017! Most years I write about resolutions with the first post of the New Year! Looking back I see that I accomplished some and completely failed many!!
