Look what I found at Hello Lovely!

Hi Friends!!  I was catching up on a favorite blog of mine, Hello Lovely, one Saturday morning and saw so many images on homes we have done where designer and Milieu magazine editor Pamela Pierce helped with the interiors. Some must have been from homes for sale websites and others from magazines, many were from over 10 years ago, things I hadn't seen in years!  I love the pictures and wanted to share a few with you along with a bit of insight to Michele, the talented and sweet author of the ...

Colorado Update Part 3-Bedrooms and Baths!

Well here is the last in the series!  Thank you for all your wonderful comments!! The house isn't completely done yet but close! I really wanted to plaster the house but due to my crews heavy schedules and the contractor's timeline it just didn't work out!   This was my inspiration board for the bedrooms!  What did I use? I loved the fabric behind the bed designed by Susan Blankenship(house is in Segreto Vignettes!) but with my lower ceilings and small room, I decided it wouldn't ...

Colorado Update!

Hi Friends! I am sorry it has taken so long to update you on the Colorado home!  I really wanted to finish and show you the progression all at one time.  so we have a three week series from start to finish. It definitely is a big change and a totally different look. Remember these pictures of the original townhome we purchased, furniture and all? Although hubby John was thrilled with all the furnishings in the unit, I though it felt dark and a bit claustrophobic. He even loved the torn ...

I Love That Sample!!! Where Will it Go?

I was trying to get a bit ahead of my blog writing and stumbled onto a post I had started in 2011! I had so much fun looking back at how some of our techniques have evolved and especially how my house has changed over the years!! I thought you would too... You've probably heard the old saying that a cobbler doesn't have shoes. Well, that doesn't apply to me. In my case, a finisher definitely has finishes!! If you look at the "My Home" section of this blog, you can see that no space has been ...

Segreto Vignettes! My Advanced Copy Has Arrived!!!

I had a surprise package today!!! An advanced copy of Segreto Vignettes came to the office! My staff wanted me to open the box in front of them, so when I walked into the office I had a rush of people coming my way with their big surprise!! Yes, I had approved things along the way but never had seen the book all together and bound! The printer would send me a bound book with no writing to approve the binding and the paper. Next, the book hardcover jacket, then the printed pages and ...

At Home with Jennifer Martinez

You’ve probably heard the saying 'a cobbler has no shoes', but in designer Jennifer Martinez’s case, she has a bunch! I have worked with Jennifer on many jobs and always loved her colorful and eclectic style.  I was very excited when I got the call to work on a project in her own home!!! I couldn’t wait for a tour!!! Walking in, you immediately see her whimsical flair. Not the typical composition; the art continuing below the console really creates a statement in her front ...
