To Dallas, To Dallas, To Dallas We Go!!!
I love going to Dallas and Market is always fun!!! Best part is I get to take my son Matthew out to dinner at the end of the trip!
Of course the big event for me was on Saturday with Aidan Gray who hosted a book-signing!! Long time friends, their showroom is featured in the painted floors section of Segreto Vignettes. I always can’t wait to see their window display–this was last years where they won best of show! AND THIS YEAR?……..
Equally as beautiful!! You can see through their displays there is definitely a shift to the modern in design. No worries they still have their traditionally French pieces, but have also incorporated a more contemporary selections as well. Love that mirror! Priced very well it is one of their best sellers!! They were so sweet and let me take the sign home!!!
If you remember my living room redo--I incorporated a modern Aidan Gray light fixture with my antique French furnishings and a few Lucite pieces from Lam Bespoke-it really changed the entire feel of the space. I had ordered in gold, painted it silver just to find out that also carried in that finish as well. Fortunately I love to paint!
They really have some cool new fixtures here!! I had so much fun and Segreto Vignettes found its way in so many new homes and some stores! See if they are in your area!!
Avalon Studios Moore, OK; Gray’s Home Fashion Gallery Tyler, TX; Hobrecht Lighting Sacramento, CA; House of Broussard Broussard, Louisiana; Muse Lafayette, Louisiana
We also went and visited some boutiques to show them Segreto Vignettes. Blue Print was one of our first stops. I loved everything about their shop! Look at that Lucite baby bed! Love!!!!!….. and their art collection is to die for!!!
Their store is in a renovated house and each space is adorned with such eclectic beautiful furnishings.
I felt like I wanted to pick up each room in its entirety and just transport it to my own home. I am sure their design team could arrange that!!
I was honored they felt Segreto Vignettes fit in with their very collected book table! They are on their second order. Thanks Blue Print!
The next store we visited was La Vignette. Just the name created a bond for me! Their eclectic mix of vintage furnishings, lighting, clothing, jewelry, tables-capes and decor were imaginative and unique.
The owner, who is a designer married to a builder, really was creative with the space. Look at these old French pallets made into floors-what a great idea!!
The back section was filled with tableware accessories and everything to make your dinner party a success. I love to set a table so this room was a treat for me! Segreto Vignettes is also sold here and at their other store Melissa Benge Collection! Stop by when you are in Dallas–a great place to shop!
The last stop was at The Mews, who also hosted Segreto Vignettes for a signing! They are a collective group of different dealers–all with a fantastic eye! Look at that lighting!
I am obsessed with the bowl made from rock crystals! Set on an acrylic base it is a show stopping accessory!
Typically filled with antiques, I was pleasantly surprised to see an entire section dedicated to Mid-Century Modern! My Son Matthew would be drooling over this section!
Look at this wonderful bottle of blush wine they served. I will use this at my next wedding shower or sip and see–the title is perfect and wine delish!
And speaking of Matthew-its always the highlight to see my boy! We tried a new restaurant called Oak!
One thing I will take away from the night is serving condiments for water at my next dinner party. What a great way to make your guests feel special!
We also tried the new Los Angeles based Water Grill, which just opened in Dallas. Here is the appetizer we had-GOLD STAR! The food was fantastic and the decor just as fab!!!
Well what did we buy for the Boutique at market?
Well daughter Kirby is obsessed with accessorizing shelves. She has teamed up with our artists to create unique pieces of art which make the perfect accessory!!
Mixed with the boxes, trays and crystal pieces we purchased, we have items perfect for any vignette.
Of course shopping for jewelry has got to be my favorite! Perfect for rodeo or layering for summer, I’m deciding which ones I should take home.
This will help me on my personal random acts of kindness mission. These boxes make the perfect gift! They house 52 notes one for each week of the year with sayings inside. It makes it easy for us to express our gratitude 52 weeks out of the year. The thoughtful boxes are filled with cards perfect to put as a gift in your husband’s pocket or a child’s lunchbox.
Available in many styles and colors PJ Harlow silk pajamas are my favorite PJ’s ever! They are so soft and wash well and I honestly now can’t sleep in anything else! Of course we restocked!
No bath should be without this accessory. We are carrying this collection in our favorite three scents.
I love games and feel they are played more when they can be left out. These made of bone are perfect for a game room or man’s study.
I just had to get these–I felt they were “Yeti” for your manly man or the hunter in your family. I love the vintage vibe. These growlers keep beer cold for 16 hours. Well I hope you liked joining me on my trip to Dallas. Kirby usually goes with me to market but she had to hold down the fort since I took Karly who helps with the books. We were both nervous to make purchases without her. How did we do???
I hope you have a fabulous week and please stop by to see the newly stocked boutique if you are in the area.
If you are interested in hosting an event or carrying the book please don’t hesitate to reach out! Email Karly@segretofinishes.com for all inquiries! We love to visit new cities!!!
