Marburger Farm Antique Show, Fall 2015!

Sep 21, 2015

http://segretoThe start of fall is a joyous occasion for me each year. The trees are turning, the holiday festivities are being planned, and the Marburger Farm Antique Show begins! It is one of my very favorite events to attend!! I am so excited to return to Round Top, Texas with my second coffee table design book Segreto Style — for a book signing on Wednesday, September 30 at 9 am-2 pm!! Not only do I totally enjoy meeting and reconnecting with everyone who comes up to look at the book and talk to me, but also I love re-connecting with the 350 dealers from around the globe!!

And, of course, I love to shop ‘til I drop at Marburger!!  Last year I was lucky enough to score a pair of these mirrors for my home’s soon-to-be remolded master bath – AMAZING!!!!

Segreto Secrets

They became the perfect his and her mirrors in my master bathroom! Thank you to Art and Antique Hunter  for such a special offering!

The thrill of the discovery at Marburger is so much fun: from French, to English, to early Texas or mid-century modern! It is all there and it is displayed to perfection!! Segreto is so fortunate to work is many homes where these treasures serve as the inspiration for designing a room! Sometimes the antique finds are the jewelry-like accents in a space! The results inspire a game called “I Spy from Marburger Farm”!! Let’s play….

Centered around an unusual, tree trunk-like sink bowl, this powder bath merges rustic, modern and antique elements! Waxing the same plaster finish used throughout the home dressed up the room and differentiated it from the other areas.
