Hi blog friends! I hope everyone has had a wonderful week!! I wanted to share with you how painted patterns can create such a wonderful effect in any room, whether they’re on walls, ceilings or floors!!!

Teen Loft Style Suite with Segreto and Julie Dodson

This amazing girl’s suite, designed by Julie Dodson, mixes a contemporary stainless steel and glass staircase with beams that feel reclaimed for loft-style living.

Staircase Embellishment with Segreto and Julie Dodson

Rather than using a carpet runner, they brought us in to apply a stencil design to the stairs and…….

Monogrammed Floors by Segreto for Julie Dodson

Paint a monogram on the floors of the upstairs sitting area! The result?

Teen Loft Style Suite with Segreto and Julie Dodson

A one-of-a-kind, warm French-style room with a modern twist! The abstract art is by Segreto Gallery’s artist Christina Graci! I love placing art in kids’ rooms as art is something they can take with them and hang in their own home one day.

Special Ceiling by Segreto for Julie Dodson

Julie Dodson, also the creator of this space, wanted to give this powder room a jewel-box effect by focusing on the ceiling.

Beautiful Tile Acrylic Antler and Sconce in Bathroom - Segreto

I love the tile and sconce intertwined with the acrylic antler!!

Draped Fabric Ceiling Treatment by Segreto

We decided to paint the ceiling as if it were draped fabric, drawing the tones from the accent tile of the wainscoting. This wasn’t so easy… once we started drawing the fabric’s folds, we realized that the can lights needed to be worked into the design! So we began incorporating them for a tufted effect!

Beautiful Bathroom with Draped Fabric Painted Ceiling by Segreto

I love the way it turned out! Definitely a conversation piece in this uniquely eclectic home! Bravo, Julie!

Painted Wood Floor Design by Segreto

In this home office, with walls slated for art slated, we decided to ground the room with a painted floor. Using an overscale pattern, which can make a smaller room look larger, the design was laid out.

Geometric Pattern Floor Design by Segreto

The contrast with the black and stained wood is quite dramatic! Now it’s time to move the furnishings in!!!

Segreto Secrets Blog-Layering with Pattern!

This bath for girls, designed by Triangle Interiors, is fresh, fun and full of whimsy! Keeping all of the hard surfaces white, we stenciled and applied a hand-painted tree design on top, pulling in the fun sconces!!!

Dramatic Powder Room with Walls by Segreto for Trisha McGaw

A powder room for designer Trisha McGaw was to be  dramatic and rich! With the walls plastered in a deep taupe, a stencil was applied on top in a silver metallic!

Metallic on Taupe Plaster - Layered Pattern by Segreto

I love the way metallic recedes into plaster, imparting an irregular glow and shimmer to the space! When designing your own spaces, don’t be limited to what’s been done!!! Think about how you can bring in pattern on your floors, ceilings or walls. With painted treatments, the possibilities are limitless!
