We Are So Proud Of Andrea’s Mom Sally!

Apr 24, 2017

Hi Friends!!  We have a mother-daughter treat today! If you read the last post about my design assistant Andrea’s flower wall you will see that talent runs in the family!  Her mother, designer Sally Condara, won the ASID award on a home that Andrea worked with her on the finishes!!  Before we begin I wanted to thank you all who sent me pictures of their Easter Table! You will all love seeing the photos for next years blog!  there is still time to send!  Email the pictures to leslie@segretofinsihes.com!

She even made the front cover of the magazine with her winning designs in this home!  Look closely in this wine room in which we plastered, the floors are composed of thousands of pennies each individually laid by hand. The homeowner had been collecting them for years!

The study was to the right when you enter the home! It shows the eclectic mix which both homeowner and Sally adore.

The plastered dining room right across the hall is a varied mix of the old and the new! I thought the lighting was antique but look…it is an Aidan Gray fixture!  They really have exceeded the market in producing new fixtures based on century old designs at reasonable prices!!!

I love the kitchen!  Can you tell what we did in these two rooms? Plaster of course!  Glazed the cabinets and…the range hood is finished to look like real metal–its just wood and paint!

Furnished with comfortable Quatrine furniture and the clean lines of this coffee table from Lam Bespoke, it’s a place family and friends can hang out and visit!  Look at the custom banquette built in by the back stairs!  I LOVE banquettes.

Mirrors over mirror always make such a statement! Antiquing the glass behind the mirror, and installing it in blocks with grommets gives the room such personality!!  Frame Tek are the best at this insuring it’s not overdone or contrived.  They did the mirror in my showroom!  Segreto finished the cabinet enhancing its interesting design.

I love the master ..such a soothing retreat, with its plastered surfaces and wonderful wall of drapes.  If you look closely at the bath cabinets you can see one of my favorite touches–incorporating a bit of silver leaf on the bead detail.

Too fun not to share are the kids bedrooms and movie getaway place! I would want each of these rooms for my own!!!

Congratulations Sally on such a wonderfully designed home!!  It was so fun for me to see mother and daughter work together!!!

xo, Leslie
