What’s Trending for Your Thanksgiving Tablescape?

Nov 06, 2017

Hi Friends!  Well we have so much to be thankful for this year and I am excited to share with you ideas for my favorite thing to do which is setting the table!!

Segreto Secrets! A Home Ready to Give Thanks!

First I will show you how my table ended up for Thanksgiving 2016 and then I will share what I think is trending for Thanksgiving 2017!  Last year my friend inspired me when I saw her table set!  Queen of layering, I tried to take to heart some of her tips!  To see her home go here!

I loved her plates which she bought from Hobby Lobby and although I searched high and low there were none left!  I found these online at…..

Crate & Barrel  and layered them with white plates I had.  To save space and money, I typically use white plates for just about every occasion and just change out the salad plates and napkins for different looks.

Spending Thanksgiving at the bay I incorporated a seaside theme with a thankful flair.

I

I found some vintage Lucite napkin rings on Etsy for a very reasonable price but there are also sources on Amazon.

Wanting starfish, I ordered some from Quality Shells .  They average .56 each for 2-3 inch size and 3-4 inch  sizes. My Mom and I had a craft day and  glued the smaller shells on top of the larger ones with a hot glue gun.

I think they turned out so cute and were super reasonable in price.  These Lucite bases can be decorated in so any different ways!!

Ordering these placemats from Z Gallerie on sale to layer over my off white square mats I felt they needed to be tweaked when I saw them in person. Picking up some gray spray paint from Home Depot, It was an easy fix to mist over them which toned down the gold.

A couple of final touches and I was done!

The linen napkins with cute white Turkeys, I purchased from Monroe Market in Friendswood while they were hosted a book signing for me added a bit of traditional Thanksgiving décor.  And……of course the blue hydrangeas from Trader Joes!!! Remember my tip!  They get a new shipment of flowers every morning at 8:00.  So be there at opening to find the best selection.

I ended up setting two tables both very similar–just different napkins and combination of mats!!

So What’s New for 2017?

Natural traditional fall colors are back!!  So searching the web I have picked some super combinations and inspirations for you to use for your own tables this year!!

When it’s just my husband and I, I don’t usually decorate the house or table, but I know I should value us enough to make things festive and pretty. Thanks for all your ideas!
