Fun Galveston Beach House Tours – Part II
I got so swept away while looking at beach house decor on HAR, I found a few more beautiful Galveston beach homes I had to share with you!! I was really surprised to see such a diversity in styles… they’re not all what you might expect when you think “beach house”! If you missed last week’s house tours, click here to catch up.
The heart of the home, this kitchen has all the makings for great gatherings and easy everyday living. The massive butcher block island provides seating for six!! I love the brick backsplash behind the range too!
The living area is so cozy!! With traditional styling, it amps up the beach feel through aqua and coral fabrics and fun, well-placed accessories.
I love the white, wood-planked accent wall! Beds always create the perfect opportunity for accent walls!! The beach chair pillow is so fun too.
This is a little girls’ dream room with such a large space for her to hang out with friends! Building in storage and bunk beds maximizes the footprint of the space and allows room for extra guests to stay. Great solution for a kids’ bedroom when you’re short on space and get lots of visitors!!
In this beautiful kitchen, the pale aqua accent wall and pelican and fish sculptures add just the right nod to the beach surroundings!! The fabulous copper light fixtures paired with the stainless steel appliances keeps things interesting.
OMG!! I love the vaulted, planked ceiling!!! Slipcovers, vintage beach accessories, and the fun wooden mermaid figurehead taken from the prow of a ship really set the tone!
Bright, open and airy! Here’s another great view of this open concept kitchen-breakfast-den area, making family time easy.
The blue striped rug and paddle pillows bring a simple, nautical theme to this guest bedroom.
Talk about a Victorian beauty!!! Though it was built in 2012, the architecture reminds me of some of the gorgeous old restored homes sprinkled around Galveston.
This room has such an eclectic feel from the unique mix of different light fixtures to define each part of the open concept area.
I love the seating in the dining area, with the mix of upholstered end chairs and wicker!! Maybe I can do something similar at our Colorado house…
When in doubt, a monochromatic color scheme is always in style!! The soft layers of creams and beautiful shiplap walls impart such a lovely sense of femininity to this beach bedroom.
The master takes a more luxe approach with dark floors and velvet fabrics! Who knew velvet could look so great at the beach!?
The adjoining bathroom is just as posh with floor-to-ceiling windows! I love that the bathroom has its own balcony… adds a bit of romance!!
This last home, which I found on Kelly Kelly Real Estate, has a great coastal style!! The fun aqua and white graphic fabric on the chairs and the washed wood ceiling beams definitely make me feel like I’m at the beach!
Here’s another view with the living room! Driftwood, wicker and seagrass – three things that carry the beach feel to any room!
This is an interesting mix of elements!! The mirrors provide a great focal point, and notice the bamboo detail on the cabinets.
The dining room reminds me just a little of my own… I can’t resist Lucite chairs!!! The shells hanging on the chandelier and the sting ray sconces are a fun touch!
I had to end on this wonderful tile accent wall!! Now, I guess it’s time to stop daydreaming about beach homes when I have a Colorado mountain home to redecorate!!!
Hope you’re all having a fun summer!! Till next week!
