The Launch Party was a Ball!
Hi Friends!! Thank you so much to all of you who made it out to the Segreto Vignettes launch party! And to those who couldn’t be there, I wanted to share the excitement with you!!!
The party this year was hosted at Back Row Home! A 16,000 square ft. showroom that carries antiques, art, bedding, gift items, and home accessories located at 8570 Katy Fwy. in Houston!!
Two of the owners, Tracey (left) and Kelly (right), are long time gal pals of mine! Tracey, a painter in her own right, and I used to work on class projects together when our kids were in elementary school together!! Kelly and I went to high school together, her son played sports with mine and she taught my kids how to swim to boot!!! These two gals, who are besties, used to be called the Two Lucys–they are full of fun and they certainly know how to throw a party!!
Everything was perfection from the food to how it was displayed!! Look at that harvest board and those serving trays!! It must be easy to make a table look great when you sell such wonderful things to pull from!!!
Rob May from Killer Vino provided all the wine. Rose has not typically been my favorite wine in the past, put this particular one has changed my mind! Refreshing, light and not too sweet! Give it a try–Delish!! He is a master at wine tastings; I have been to a few, and he provides such great selections for amazing prices.
Look at these cookie party favors they did! “3” for the third book!! So cute!
If you haven’t met my management staff they were all there to help out! Starting from the left is my daughter Kirby (designer), Isai (operations manager), ME, Andrea (designer and furniture refinishing manager), Taylor (estimator/scheduler) and Lori (book keeper). Karly ( special projects), who helped to coordinate the event, had a wedding she was in and couldn’t be there. I am blessed to have these wonderful people by my side as well as my talented artisans out in the field!!
Well, the place was beautiful and…
…the books were set out, so now we are ready for the party!!!
And who did we spy at the event?!!!
Designer Talbot Cooley should be front and center as the fab room she designed made the book’s cover!!!! Looking as young, she is in between my two daughters!
Designers, builders, architects, tradespeople and homeowners alike showed up to celebrate with me!!
Everyone had so much fun–the event was certainly festive!!!
Tucked in the back, I really tried hard to write something special in everyone’s book! I was so appreciative of all that came and were excited about the book.
Something so special to me–I had all the people who had contributed to the book sign my copy as well! Here is Steve Goodchild who contributed an article in the tips from the experts section. Priceless!!!
I did get one pic at the end of the night of my sweet family! My son Matthew, who lives in Dallas, has not been able to make any of the launches! Maybe next book???
Goodness, the Back Row group worked so hard to make this such a special evening and successful event!!!
Thank you Back Row Home! I am forever grateful!!! I hope that if you were not able to be there you now feel like you were right there with me!! You always are, as I am so appreciative of each of your support! Next Week I am giving a talk at Material Marketing discussing how to pick finishes for your surfaces!!!
