In the Limelight this Month and More!!!

Oct 17, 2016

Hi Friends!! I have some wonderful homes and articles this week to share with you on projects where Segreto’s work has been published!! I hope you enjoy reading about them as much as I did when we did the work!

Segreto Secrets Blog! In the Lime Light! Segreto Secrets Blog! In the Lime Light! Segreto Secrets Blog! In the Lime Light! Segreto Secrets Blog! In the Lime Light!

The first is a wonderful local publication, Houston House & Home, where they showcase bedrooms from Segreto Vignettes!! Cindy Witmer happened to design these two and I worked on the color schematics, finishes and even some of the art! I had fun speaking with Marsha, the writer. She was really nice and was a Galveston Gal! Pic up a copy of the magazine or hopefully, you can read it better from my press page!

I just love the cover of the fall issue!! Isn’t it beautiful with the roses? The featured house was published in Segreto Style! Super fun to see it in two places!!

This article in Country French takes a peak inside the Houston home of Brooke McGuyer Hutson! I can only show the first two rooms in this sneak peak they sent me, but the whole house is to die for and in their fall issue!!

I definitely love her home and her sweet self!! One of my favorite rooms ever is from her house–it’s the cover of my Facebook page and my website. And the room is…

This is the one on the cover of my Facebook page and not the magazine. You will have to buy Country French this month! Well worth it! It was so fun to see the house, now 4 years later, with its many changes and how color photographs differently with different photographers and angles. When you get it, look at Segreto Style–Brooke’s is the last home featured– and Country French, then play “I spy” with what is new and different.

And in the same issue of Country French, a second home filled with Segreto plastering and cabinet finishes is also featured! This is a home designed by Nicole Zarr and built by Dirk Hoyt! The home was featured in Segreto: Secrets to Finishing Beautiful Interiors (pages 134-131). If you pull up Nicole’s website, she also uses this room on her opening page! We all love this house!!!

I adore this kitchen with its true country French flair!! Look at those lanterns Nicole found!!

This Country French is on newsstands now!!  It is definitely worth the trip to the store!!!

Houston CityBook is a brand new magazine and we were so excited to be included in the premier Fall 2016 issue! Working with interior designer Courtnay Elias, this was such a fun project! Here is a peak inside the featured bachelor pad which we created a one-of-a-kind mural in the powder room! The dream-like Mississippi scene is truly a in-home escape!

What a kitchen–from the tile to the brass bar-stools!!

A game room to die for!! And that staircase with the solid brass cap–who wouldn’t want that?!

This is a different version of the bath we had painted which is also featured in Segreto Vignettes (page 223). Thank you, Courtnay, for letting us be a part of this beautiful home!!!

What Segreto's Up To: Finishes and Tabletops!

Well, I had a bit of excitement last week–or you might say a huge case of nerves. I was asked to be on Houston Life, a live show on KPRC, to talk about finishes and Segreto Vignettes!! The host, Jennifer, was so super sweet and fun to work with. Next time, I will ask which camera to look at! I didn’t know so I was scanning all six just to make sure I would make eye contact once!

It was fun to have two of my Segreto gals with me, daughter Kirby on the right and Karly our newest team member on the left! Goodness, I wish they had taken one of these cute girls to be in my place!! We all really had a great time together on the set! If you are in Houston, it is a new live show which airs daily at 1:00 on KPRC.

A Super Fun Project!

Segreto Secrets Blog! A Retail Makeover!

I wanted you to see a major transformation of an established Houston landmark store–Berings Hardware! I was excited when they asked me to take the lead in their gift shops redesign! Here is a snippet of what it looked like before……………

Segreto Secrets Blog! The Remake of a Retail Space!
